No Leak Honey Gate
Most honey gate leaks come down to the same problem: not enough of a barrier between the honey and the outside of the bucket. This gate improves on a standard valve with dual gaskets and a longer path for honey to travel before it can drip, which cuts down on the slow leaks that plague cheaper gates.
Key Features
- Dual gaskets — added seal that reduces dripping compared to a single-gasket gate
- Set screw and thumb screw — fine control over tightness and smooth open/close operation
- Fits a 1-13/16" drilled hole — tightens from inside the bucket with a wide screwdriver
- Works with round or square buckets — square buckets hold the gate more securely
- Durable construction built for repeated bottling seasons
Installation
Drill a 1-13/16" hole in your bucket, then insert the gate and tighten it from the inside using the wide end of a screwdriver. A snug fit at installation is what keeps this gate leak-resistant over time — a loose fit will drip regardless of the gate's design.
