Trust, creativity & independent American businesses
Our Commitment to AI Transparency & Authentic Commerce
At Lagniappe Flavors, America's Digital Farmers Market, our marketplace is built around real products, independent U.S.-based businesses, and the people and places behind them. We use modern digital tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), to help tell those stories and make the market easier to explore.
AI is part of how we create and communicate. It is not a substitute for the products you order, the identities of the businesses we feature, or our responsibility to customers. This page explains the difference.
How We Use AI
Original storytelling and media. AI-assisted tools may help with articles, regional guides, original songs, audio explainers, videos, graphics, infographics, and seasonal creative campaigns. These pieces are designed to make the marketplace more engaging and help shoppers discover new businesses and products.
Illustrative visuals. Some lifestyle backgrounds, promotional scenes, artistic images, animations, and video elements may be generated or enhanced with AI. They are creative illustrations and should not be interpreted as photographs documenting a particular product, business, location, or event unless identified as such.
Writing, organization, and discovery. AI may assist with drafting and editing copy, organizing information, technical workflows, and making products, makers, cities, states, regions, and shopping departments easier to find. The founder directs the marketplace's approach and decides what represents the Lagniappe Flavors brand.
Real Products, Real Supplier Identities
Lagniappe Flavors is a retailer and curator, not the manufacturer of the independent products we sell. Our participating businesses retain their own names, identities, and product offerings. Their goods—not our AI-created marketing scenes—are what customers purchase.
Product photography, descriptions, options, ingredients, materials, dimensions, and specifications may come from the maker, brand, or supplier. Some supplier-provided imagery may itself be digitally created or enhanced. We do not intentionally use AI imagery to invent product features or imply that an illustrative setting is included with an order.
For purchasing decisions, rely on the product listing's stated options and specifications. If a promotional image appears inconsistent with those details, contact us before ordering. We will work to clarify the information with the relevant supplier.
Accuracy, Oversight & Accountability
AI can assist with creative and administrative work, but it can also make mistakes. We work to review the content we publish, keep product information faithful to its source, and correct errors when identified. AI-generated articles, music, or images do not constitute independent verification of a supplier's claims, product characteristics, or business history.
Lagniappe Flavors remains the retailer and customer-service contact for orders placed through our store. Independent suppliers are responsible for their own products and fulfillment, and we coordinate with them when an order or product-information issue needs attention.
Personal Information & Privacy
We use technology to operate and improve our digital storefront. Information about how personal data is handled, including applicable service providers, cookies, and privacy choices, is explained in our Privacy Policy and Your Privacy Choices page. This AI disclosure complements those policies; it does not replace them.
Discover the Business Behind the Product
Our goal is to help customers move from a product to its maker, from a maker to a place, and from one discovery to the next. Digital storytelling supports that journey, while real businesses remain at its heart.
