72% Two-Way Humidity Pack
Valet 72% humidity packs are the standard two-way pack for cedar-lined wood humidors. Cedar absorbs some moisture on its own, so a 72% pack settles your cigars at roughly 69 to 70% effective humidity, the classic range for everyday wood maintenance.
Who the 72% pack is for
Cedar absorbs 2 to 3% humidity on its own, which is why a 72% pack is the right starting point for wood. It works for desktop humidors, large floor-standing cabinets and any cedar-lined storage where consistent daily maintenance is the goal.
If you're in a moderate climate and your humidor seals reasonably well, start here. In a dry climate or a drafty humidor, step up to the 75% humidity pack.
Not designed for plastic containers. In a sealed tupperdor or pelican case, 72% has nowhere to equilibrate and will over-humidify your cigars. For plastic storage, use the 69% humidity pack or the 65% humidity pack.
How many packs do I need?
Use one 60g pack for every 25 cigars your container can hold. Size by capacity, not by how full it is. A 50-count humidor takes two packs even when it is half empty.
For travel cases and tubes, use one 8g pack per 5 cigars.
How long does a pack last?
A 60g pack lasts 3 to 6 months. Replace it when it feels hard and has no give.
Two-way and salt-based
The pack adds moisture when your container is dry and absorbs it when it is wet. Salt's unique chemical properties let it hold a steady humidity level as moisture changes. Salt-free packs can't maintain steady levels over time like salt-based packs can. Made in the USA with reverse-osmosis filtered water. Non-acidic.
